A local institution at the world's best State Fair
French Meadow Bakery & Cafe has been a beloved part of the Minnesota State Fair for over three decades, bringing organic, innovative, and wholesome food to fair-goers. Since 2006, Deborah and Chris Gleize and family have proudly operated the concession, continuing the legacy of French Meadow's flagship restaurants — pioneers of certified organic baking in the U.S. since 1985.
We're known for our fresh-baked pastries, hearty breakfast sandwiches, hand-crafted espresso drinks, and Fair-famous fried goods — all made with ingredients sourced from local Minnesota farms and trusted regional vendors. We offer options for everyone: traditional, vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free. Our patio seating provides a relaxing spot to enjoy your finds amid the Fair energy.
